Question about heat and ventilation in closet

I have a medium sized closet that I am growing a few plants in using a 400 watt HID light. I don't really have a way to ventilate it using traditional methods because the closet is a closed system and I just can't cut a hole in the door for a fan exhaust setup. Is there something I can purchase that can be sneaked underneath the door so fresh air can be blown in? Also, I'm using a fan inside the unit..where should it be pointed? This is my first time using an HID light and I just don't want to open the door and see my babies lifeless and burnt. I just want what's best for my girls like any good dad! I love them so much! Thanks!:-P

can you go through the ceiling by chance? or the floor? all you need is a exaust the negative pressure will pull air in the closet from any available place that allows air to pass.

if it dosent have to be stealth mayb get some reducers and use the hole thats already in the door for the door knob, will have to remove the knob and figure another way to latch the door closed though, ceiling or floor would be best bet or a wall on the inside, can always patch the sheetrock when you move out

You can purchase a chea 30/40 dollar door at home depo n replace n cut right in to it,but the original door back when u move out..or u can also leave door open n make a wall out of panda film n zip it up...u can go dif ways just have a toke n think...i have same prob..i have a 7 x 2 x 8 clost wich i need half to hang my stuff for my room is full of boxes..what i did was to seal off half the closet w panda film..if thats not bad enough i have the pole to hang clothes from in the way ,bout 4.5 ft from the flooor to wich i cant remove so i had to make a roof out of plastic cardboard...its half assed but its housing 3 lsd plant...the final size was a 2 x 4 x 4 x grow space backed by 2 mini 8" fans n a quantum badno 8 bulb fixture...

I you love them, then you need to give them air. You wouldn't starve your children and then talk about how much you love them. Plants need air to live, the more the better. You have to exhaust the hot air out and pull fresh air in or your plants won't amount to anything, plus they'll get mildew and bugs. If you don't have air exchange, then all your circulating fan is going to do is move the stale air around.
