depends on .... everything:
strain
outdoor vs. indoor
skill of grower handling medium, light, atmosphere, water, nutes
luck
so, if things go pretty well you might get 4 ounces from a medium sized indica strain indoors and a pound or more from a large sativa strain grown outdoors.
I concur. There are so many variables, it is impossible to speculate with any degree of certainty. But the most vital component is the experience of the grower because all the other variables are affected by it.
Growing is not hard, but it does take a shitload of experience to do well. A vital part of that experience is patience. Also required is an ability to deal with disappointment due to failure, and the ability to learn from one's mistakes. That is where we come in. Try to learn as much as you can from our experience. Read the FAQs and scour previous threads, especially grow journals which closely resemble your own grow in terms of seed strain and environment.
My first harvest was ludicrously small. I was deleriously happy anyway because I had broken that connection to the underworld and would be smoking my own from that point forward. Each successive haul has grown larger as I have gained experience.
Buy a book on growing. If indoors, try
Buds For Less. For outdoors, I use
Guerilla Growing by Jorge Cervantes, but he has credibility issues recently. Maybe another grower can recommend a better outdoor source.
Good luck and good growing.
