Question about Led lights pls help!

hi everyone,

I have a 4x4 grow tent currently growing 3 autoflowers (3 weeks old) I have a 600 watts Mars Hydro at the moment Im aware it wont be enough for the plants at the flowering stage my question is do I add another 600 watts or 300 watts would be enough as an addition to the 600 watts Im using right now thanks in advance

That mars hydro 600 is only 132 watts. In a packed 4x4, you would need an actual 600 watts or more of LED.

I would say you need three more of the 600's. So, do you see really saving money with these cheep lights?

not trying to save money just trying to keep temps down using led’s & it draws 265 watts it says its suitable for 2.5x2 flower or 3x2.5 veg so my guess was I need to get an extra one

Stop the hate!!

I grew with mars the suck but put some t5's or bite the bullet and put a hps

Either way more light the better

Be kind to yourself u know mars suck now but u can deal with it and with all the mad colours they throw with more light ull have great product so suck it it and got cob next time

SO what do you think would be the best to do in this case ?

Me personally

If I had the cash I get a 400 HP's put it beside the mars or a cheap 600 for more yeild smash 5 ladies under if non auto flatten under a net and flip to flower after the get bout 80% of the net

Or if u have autos don't the biggest pots u have and o the same put a net but don't be as rough more spreading

If u can vent externally if u live some where warm or if u live some cool get a big ass filter and vent where u live but have dehumidifier because mid flower sweaty air isn't nice

Sounds good but why get a cheap led 600 when i can gwt another mars 600 watts & forgot to mention my friend giving me his 600 watts ballast so should i just buy a 600 bulb put it with the 600 mars I have and put a 6 inch 400 cfm for exhaust with a filter and 200
Cfm to draw in fresh air from the room next door that air conditioned?

So you think in a 4x4 I can do led 600 mars (265watts true power) for veg and use this same Led with a 600 hps in flowering right??

Watts equal heat. If you have to have 600 true watts of LED its the same as having 600w of HPS.

Where LEDs win is good ones can light up a place sufficiently with a good chunk less wattage and thus there is less heat.

So should i do 2x mars hydro 600 watts (530 true watts all togheter)
Or do one mars hydro 600 watts mixed with a 600 hps bulb?

Use the mars you have for veg, come flowering pick up sunmaster 600w hps bulb. If your temps are good with that then add your mars to the mix for some extra photons , but if your tent cant take the extra wattage then just use the HPS on its own for flower.

When you have a few grows under your belt you can always look into good LEDs.
