Question about light

hey you guys,

I am growing in a hydroponic system so I thought Id post this question here.

I have a 300 Watt Led Light I bought from craigslist(40$) used for vegging only. The light is full spectrum, there are 9 bands I think from 380 all the way to 800ish including IR.

However, all the color of the LED lights are red. why is that? should some be blue? Did I get ripped off?

Also I am currently using these lights for BABY plants that I germinated myself, so will red only let these babies grow tall?

If not I have 2 different 30 Watt LED lights that have like 7 red to 1 blue light ratio SHould I switch it over?

I'd just keep using them. They should work alright. I'd say you got a pretty good deal overall, considering what the original owner probably paid. Should work fine for veg work.

If you want to bloom, you'll want to buy or build something else.
