yeah 4 cfls for the start of each plant would be great, and depending on how big your planning to grow your babys, ull need to grab a couple more for each plant later on, 6500k is pretty good for veg they are the 23w cfls usually, depends on the brand just read the box

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ thats the easiest way, ive wired my own sockets so each 1 has a plug, running 4 bulbs off each socket

i havent been able to find just a cord with a plug, so i decided to wire my own, u get a roll of grounded wire, a keyless socket, and an all pupose grounded plug, wire cutters and electrical tape... all you really have to remember is the White wire always goes to the Silver screw, and the middle or uninsulated wire is the ground.. now put into the appropriate screws and tighten , tape any exposed wire and your good to go
