Question about lights

with a digital ballast you save what1-3 dollars a month in a year 12-36 dollars a year you save.come on if i want to switch to save ill save better than that...lightmeters can tell you whats brighter and what brightness lasts longer,, like i said my ballast does not make no noise and its magnetic,had it only pay 30 extra in the states with a 400 watt hps.digital is good but yoou still would do the same thing you will do with a digital as you will with a magnetic.

I'm happy with my Digital setup and you're happy with your Magnetic setup.

Okay... so I have grown once(bagseed) in a garbage can with cfls. It all worked fine tasty buds and all, not a big yield. My set up now is cfls I have 6 Daylight bulbs @1600 Lumens each, 6500 K for veg. I am going to switch to 2700k soft white not sure of the lumens but I know they are more than 1600. My question is this: I have read about UV and its affect on our love MJ, It causes more resin glands, as these act as a Sun Block for the plant. So has anyone tried supplimenting the light with a blacklight for stronger UV?

you said your grow room is only 3ft wide...4ft wont fit...if you can get the 400w HPS for $100 then that is a deal for the ballast bulb and hood

ya the 48 inch long fluros arnt going in my box thats just for veg and i take the plants and bring them in my garage and lower the lights down to them thats just temperary though im either gona buy some veg CFLs or a Mh if i got enough money next time around for veg.. I got another question too when do i know its time to switch to the hps for flowering?

hps to flower mh to veg,veg mothers,start clones eventho both will do the job..my first grow i started from beginning to end with my 400 hps and get an mh conversion bulb for a hps ballast
