Question About Making Butter With Trim

I just harvested my first crop and plan to use the trim, mostly sugar leaves and small popcorn buds, to make cannabutter. I plan to decarb them in the oven at 225 degrees for 30 minutes. Do they need to dry first, or can they be used fresh, since I'm decarbing?
Thanks for the help!

no need to decarb if you're cooking into the butter, i would think.
i could be wrong, but it makes sense that it would decarb at that temp anyway.

Yeah, but the trim isn't dry yet. I may just take it out of the paper bags and dry it flat. That should only take a couple of days.
