Question about my plants!

Hello! So I am very new to growing. I have a 4x4x6 set up with a 300w light ( I know thats weak for this size tent but it was gifted to me and I figured I would start out with this and upgrade in the future). I started off the two larger plants from germination they are white widow. I started them in foxfarm happy frog. The third plant that looks oddly shaped was given to me and started in awful soil and bad lighting about 3 weeks after sprouting so I knew it was going to have some issues. About a month in, once they outgrew the red solo cups I transfered them into these 1gal pots with a mixture of 3 scoops happy frog/2 scoops ocean forest/1 scoop perlite from a guide i saw online. I was just wondering if they seem a little small? I was reading plants will double to triple in size once they have been turned to flower. I have been growing my two plants since february 25th. I am just wondering if I am on track to have nice plants or not. The first four photos will be the plants I grew (2 photos of each plant) and the other is the plant I was given. I have been keeping the humidity between 40-55 as best I can. It was staying 30-35 for a solid week but I fixed it now and have been keeping it in the 40-55 range now. 79-83 degrees in the tent as well with two fans for circulation. I just use regular water, I have a PH reader and it says its been around 6.5 always even though its a cheap instrument. Any information would be appreciated!

Plant usually grow to the size of their pot oh, you should look into getting a 3-gallon pot if you want to go any bigger, or start doing toppings

They look healthy but they are going to demand a lot more when they flower. You are going to need more light, and bigger pots. I run 600 true watts of COB LED in my tent and I get pretty good results. If your LEDs are quantum boards (or other lights with the same type of Samsung diodes) then you’re going to want close to what I’m running. If you are running that type of Samsung diodes then people commonly go with about 480W for a 4x4. For the pots, I would recommend 5 gallon pots.

You can go straight to 5 gallon. I go from solo cup straight to 5 gallon. I would upgrade your light as soon as you can. They will survive under what you have but they will grow pretty slowly.

I like to make 3 transplants In my grows.what light do you have? Generally you need your stronger light during flower

The only reason I do this is so the plant can form a really good root ball into each size of pots

Not in my experience, the only reason I do that is because I grow my plants about 5 feet tall so I want a really good root base. Larger or Bitter root base healthier taller plant. I usually top throughout my entire grow before I send it to flower

Yeah, I top a few times through about 8 weeks of veg. I fill my 4x4 with 4 plants in 5 gallon pots try get them to get to around 4’ - 5’ tall when the flower stretch is done. I’m going with 10 gal pots for my next run (living soil) so I’ll probably go with more transplants this time.

What is the actual light you're using? Also you can start them straight in bigger pots. I even put clones straight into my 15 gal no-till, sometimes even rooting them in there too. When yours are ready for another transplant I would go straight to the final pot. Just remember that every time you transplant, the plant may grow a little slower at first, since it starts focusing more on growing roots than growing tall.

Clone only Green Crack straight to a 15 gal. Pic from yesterday.

The way I see it everyone has there own way or technique in growing I suggest you take all the info you can and come up with your own technique. Of course if you run into trouble you can always reach out for help. I hope the info helps. Cheers!-G.I.JOSE

right now i just have a 300w vipaspectra LED light. I have some 5 gallon ready so i will transplant them soon. ive topped all of these about two weeks ago or so. What is the ideal watt im looking for? and LED compared to t5 florescent?

are any of these ideal? im looking at my best options for around $150~

I am going to attempt to grab a clone here soon off one of the plants. I havent ever made clones before so I need to watch a few more videos on exactly what im supposed to be cutting off to make the clone

I usually take my clones befor I send to flower. But you can take them when ever you are ready. The owner of this channel isnt active anymore, he is living off the grid but he has some very good vids. I use his method and I haven't had any losses using his method. Like I said before take bits and pieces of all the info you can learn and make it your own. Here is the link on clones.

Honestly, every plant I've grown indoors has always used an 18"x18" footprint sometimes 2x2. 3 plants will need 10-12 sq ft of floor space that you'll need to light. This where the question of 'how much' light do you need to flower that footprint comes in. All lights convert watts of electricity into photons of light. The challenge of answering the 'how much' is that the efficiency of lights vary widely.
An older 'blurple' led fixture may only produce 1.2-1.3 umole/watt, standard HPS run 1.5-1.7 umole/watt while current tech led's run over 2.5 umole/watt. That means a top shelf led produces 2 times the amount of photons of light for each watt of electricity you use compared to your old 'blurple' fixture.

Now that I've confused the bejeezus outta you, let me throw some simple metrics you can use to figure out 'how much'.
Older 'blurple' leds need approx. 50 watts/ sq ft of area.
HID(HPS, CMH) need 40-50 watts/ sq ft of area.
Current tech leds(COB, QB, light strips) need 30 watts/ sq ft of area.

So, if I was trying to grow 3 plants I'd shoot for 400-500 watts of blurples or 300 watts of good diodes.
