I have a 5 gallon pot thats about two feet in diamiter and 18"s tall. What I want to do is put about two inches thick of creek rocks (sterilized) and then fill the rest with primo soil I have and then use that wide space to veg 4 clones in. I think for my sea of green this will work and save me room on one gallon pots. since its 5 gallons total i have four clones in 4 gallons of soil, since im only letting the clones get 16 inches tall before bloom. Are there any concerns I should know about? doing this tonighte. much love and appreciation:leaf:

don't bother with rocks on the bottom. They do nothing to help. As long as the pot has a decent amount of drainage holes you're good to go. As for 4 plants in one pot, I don't think thats a good idea. Much better off with each plant in its own pot, imo.

You can use rock on the bottom of your pots, many people do. It ensures easy drainage and keeps the soil from compacting on the bottom. The roots like to grow through and wrap around the rocks, which retain moisture longer.

Stick with only one plant per pot, unless you are using feminized seeds or clones.
