If you're going to do what you want, why are you asking?I put them yesterday in the towel ill wait to see if they will be sprout and then ill put them in the soil
We all get the wet towel sometimes...Ok wet the towel then
Ok tnx last time they sprouted lets see..I’ve not had great luck with the towel method. But good luck!
place somewhere warm like on or near water heater. Keep moist but don’t drown. Keep dark or dimly lit.
I think many sprout in water or towels just to get the sign of life of a viable tap rootStraight into soil. Screw the towel.
Yeah, I used too, but found I had better luck straight in to moist soil with a baggie over the top like a little greenhouse.I think many sprout in water or towels just to get the sign of life of a viable tap root
ROFL, yeah but dad has a much lower germ rate than I do. If we had millions of seeds to sow like dad does every time we would not put in the extra effort.Did your father put his sperm in a towel to impregnate your mother?
Since I have never had a seed not pop with my method I cant say I worry about what you speak of. That said whatever works for you is what is best.paper towels are loaded with all sorts of chemicals, glue, bleach, bpa, etc, even "recycled" ones (recycled paper towels have more BPA than regular ones.) Which do you think seeds will germ better in, a chemical soup or natural soil? Here is a good no bs guide to germination from the kind folks at Mandala https://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Germination-Guide
Also get the most non porous ones you can or even use coffe filters. I use brown paper towel that works great for seeds, horrible for spills but perfect for seeds. There is no denying that straight into medium is the least stressful for seeds as Rurumo suggests, just not what I do.i have bought an absurd amount of seeds over the years, the paper towel in a small tupperware has worked every single time, from somewhat fresh seeds to ones i bought 5 years ago. multiple layers is best and make sure the towels arent too wet or too dry and i check for taproots every 12 hours or so.
