so..im thinking maybe colder temps than they should be getting at night? there night time it gets no less than 75-70. they are pepper plants that are typically grown in a warmer environment. i think once they are mature. nite time temps of 75-70 induce help induce flowering. they are small now and i figure the colder ngiht time tembs arent that bad right now since normally they would be started outside and the night could still get fairly cold. do you guys think that at this age. colder night time temps(75-70) could give them problems? they are like 2weeks old from sprout. im about to start keeping it warmer around 80 at night within the next few days.

that might not even be what the color is from so feel free to reply with any opinions that you may have. they are hot chili peppers.

i took pics so that you could see the color and the ones that are all green. i think they look very nice and healthy for 2weeks old. they are said to ahve a very slow germ/sprout growth period but these are doing quite nice.

that nasty ass looking soil is a random miracle grow brand. thought id experiment with a few of there products. the majority of them are being grown in happy frog.

let me know if youd like to check out the grow log im doing on these plants. ill give you the youtbube link. all comments/opinions welcome.

Honestly I would just wait it out, I've had a lot of plants (mj and not) look funky when I've first planted/sprouted them. Human babies look pretty funny don't they? Haha. They seem to be perky and healthy so I wouldn't be worried

Canabian420, your plants look extremely healthy. the black leaf nodes is normal. Temps in the range you are describing are perfect unless you are looking for super fast growth. When pepper plants start to flower they need cooler temps to prevent blossom drop.

It would still be safe if the temps drop down into the 50's and 60's but they would go into a semi dormancy kinda thing. That is what I like to do with some of my overwintered plants so they don't get larger while in the house.

When you pot-up bury your plants right up to the cotlyedons. Nice looking plants.

thanks for the replies. some of these are suppose to be VERY hot. i was wondering if i put some molasses in the water during this veg stage, could that affect the peppers?

i only want to use it to feed the bugs that are in the soil.

Happy frog has everything they're gonna need at this point in they're lives.

What strains are you growing? I just started 15 strains of peppers,.... tho ATM 3 of them don't have a single sprout above the soil? :? And what do you consider VERY hot?

I did some Chocolate dipped Habanaero's last season (literally Hab peppers, quartered, and dipped in confection chocolate),.... Dayum! were those things good! in a very twisted kind of way! :fire: They looked like candies, but WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! In hindsight, I should have dried the quartered peppers to make the pod crunchy,..... will do this next time ;)

so, will i need to transplant to another soil later on? i got this big ass bag for liek $20 lol..could ahve gottena small one had i known that. would it be ok to keep them in happy frog and feed them some nutes? lol kind of funny. i recommended they make small bags for any unfamiliar customers, then i go in and dont even take a small bag lmao.
