Question about Tap Roots

So i've germinated some seeds and this is the first time i've waited until the tap root full came out before i put it some soil. The tap root curls and I'm wondering if i plant the seed as intended the tap root will point up (because of the curling).

Should i worry about the tap root growing through the surface or will it curl back down as it naturally should?

It will curl back down. The root(s) seek nourishment and there is none in air, therefore it will curl under to reach into the soil.

I had one on my last grow that ended up completely upside down after I watered it (now I water before planting the seed) and it still made it's way tot he surface..... only to die a couple days later lol

well i usually presoak my soil and lightly compress it. poke a little hole in it and put the seed in, cover it and add a pinch more water.

hope it curls down ;)

i just lay them down sideways in the hole. i don't try to position them so they point a certain way. never had a problem.
