Br great if someone has a tip or to just confirm my thinking here .

Found a new clone supplier in southern ontario and they are great come with food and directions and even a sample for a good price ..I have had problems tying to find clones in the past so this is great only issue they all come in rockwool and I am.not familiar with it

They come in large cubes I would say roughly 4x4 inch by 3 high or so.

After I got them .

Transplanted to 4 gallon pots with pro mix soil lightly dampened but no serious watering ..cubes had a bit if moisture still so I knew to be carefull with watering etc .

It's about a week later 7 out of the 8 look good no serious growth but healthy for sure.

It's a week and they dont seem to need water yet but is there anything I should watch out for or only water around the edge of pot to not soak the rockwool cub under the soil or does any of this even matter ?

Just curious as I really want to keep using this clone outfit

Appreciate any advice .

There was light rooting coming out of the bottom and sides of rockwool cubes before transplanting not tons but they were present poking through the side and bottom .

Thanks ...yeah been 12 days since watering 6 out 8 look great ...waiting for a slight drop in the leaves before a watering .

I dont think I made any errors or mis handled the transplant so I am thinking rockwool in soil just takes a bit longer to get going and really start growing again .

Thanks

FWIW at this late stage (and more for future reference), in my experience soil or soil-like mixes will draw all the water from a cube.
Always water well when planting a cube to soil, for best root transition.

Rockwool wants a more acidic pH than soil, if it was me I would think about planting the cube either on top of soil or deeper in the dirt, and maybe transition from watering the cube to watering the soil with different pH

Not going to happen... you can't ph Rockwood and soil separately?

Wtf kind of advice is that? Seriously...

...Maybe....don't give advice on topics you clearly have no idea about!

Wet medium is a wet medium and should probably hold of on Transferring. Watering too soon as well maybe instead keep them alive by foliar spraying Water with 1/10 diluted ratio h202 in between waterings during veg cycle.
