ive had these buds off the plant now for bout a week. i have them in a jar with the lid off but they smell like wet grass. any help is appreciated

Put the lid on for about 3hrs then "burn it" by taking lid off for 10-15 mins. Keep doing it till the smell goes away or till the stem isn't bendy. Happy smoking

the grass smell tends to come from early harvest
but seeing how you dried it in a jar and not hanging may have something to do with it
look into curing properly and proper harvest times and it may help in the future
also it could be strain specific but the swag genetics from the tude comment
people really need to realize that seed banks have nothing to do with BREEDER genetics

That first photo looks kinda moldy... hard to tell. Dont smoke mold.

Make sure you hang dry your plants before putting them in jars. If you dont let them dry properly its easy to have flowers that smell like lawn clippings. I like to dry them well before curing in jars.

Did you take them off the plant and right into the jar? If so you need to take them out of the jar and let them dry for about a week give or take depending on humidity and temps. I like to let hang dry until the stems make a snap when you bent them but they do not break. Then put them in a jar. I put a hygrometer in my jars. They usually start off around 65RH. Then I open the jars twice a day for 10-15 minutes. Once a week l leave the jars closed for a full 24hrs. to get an accurate RH reading. I do this until I reach 45-50RH. Then I stop burping the jars. Thats just how I do it and works great for me.

The grassy smell is from the chlorophyll. It will go away if you didnt cut to soon and if you dry and cure it properly.
