Question concerning grow tent smell

I have a 3x3 tent with a 4in ac infinity exhaust and 4 in ac infinity carbon filter . I currently have 5 og kush autos in process. I was wondering when the plants start flowering would the smell be so strong that it would leave my apartment. I currently live in a city ( guess where... lol ) that growing cannabis is not legal but is decriminalized. I just don’t want my landlord bitching about the smell he lives like 20 ft from my apartment. I plan on getting the ion gel as well . Please someone give me some insight thanks

Or two filters on one duct, inline filter and normal filter in tent if your extracting outside.

If your venting into your apartment then a filter in tent and one outside at the exit point.

Or just a bigger filter in the tent will help.

I wouldn't go with ona gel or similar though, if it air comes in contact with your buds after been in contact with the gel it can ruin the taste of the buds.

So.. carbon filter---inline--duct---carbon filter? I know it'll put more strain on the inline fan but have wondered this for a few weeks now. Effective?

Yeah it will reduce the cfm considerably but if the fan is rated high enough it will work. The ideal way would be to have filters a bit bigger so there is less resistance and as short and as straight ducting as possible.

Honestly I never have problems with smell with a single fan and single oversized filter but I vent directly outside.
If there was 1% of smell not been cleaned it wouldn't be noticed but when someone vents inside then 1% can be noticed

Personally I wouldn't recommend venting inside but in reality some people have no choice and that's where I would double filters or double fans and filters.

I was also wondering when it comes to trimming etc. wat can I do to control smell . I was thinking of going in the tent and locking myself in but honestly I would much rather sit on my couch and do it. Do u know of a sure fire method that could prevent smell leak when trimming

Yeah you will have to get yourself in that tent set up a bucket to sit on or a comfy stool and a couple to trim into and chuck buds into.
Its called Trim Jail and its not fun but its safer.

I once trimmed all my crop in my living room a long long time ago. Stunk the house out, stunk the street out and stunk the whole block out.

Chop off a few buds, trim it, put them in a bag and throw them in a community area in your building, and sprinkle some ground up weed around the bag.

People may just think that someone dropped a smelly bag.

I couldn't imagine trimming in a tent. I used to sit to do mine, but found it much, much easier to do it standing up at the island of my kitchen. Great lighting, easy access to anything I need, and can set the whole thing up like a production line. Untrimmed branches in at one end, finish trimmed product being put onto hangers for hanging at the other.

Thankfully, I have no concerns whatsoever about odor.
