So,I'm growing outside on the sun and it's 3 week since it is stormy and cloudy.I think due to this reason(not enough sunlight) my plant streched a lot.I'm running out of space in height and was just wondering can I cut the top of the plant(it's on the 5th node).I was thinking if I coud cute after the 3rd node??(first picture)
And if I can cut it I'll clone the top but here's the other question :
Do i have to trim the leaves like that(picture 2)???
Any opinion would be great!

cut there you will be fine, you can take a clone yes. but make it a little shorter after you make the initial top. you dont have to trim the leaves

as long as you have gel or powder root hormone you should be great... you can even keep it in water for a few days if you must. Make the incision at a 45 deg angle, for ultimate root growth potential.

I am not worried about the clone tho..I'am worried about the main plant...if it goes down this will be very bad!

And I'll be usin the watering method to clone the cut....
Is the main plant going to live?Isn't she very small? That's the questions that bother me....

I understand..you topped your plant.you just cutted 2 young leaves and I will cut 2 big 2 small and 2 just coming out... my point is that i will cut like 1/4 of the plant to keep it short. It's a young plant and I am not sure it will get it over without some consequenses.I don't want my plant to die..that's it.As for the cutted part I will be happy to clone..not sure the main plant will take this good...it's 1/4 of the plant....

I cut the leaves on one of my older plants on my 2nd grow and it really did nothing for it. But topping the plant will give you multiple heads for bud so i would do it.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Obviously I have problems expressing myself :D Look at the pictures.I showed on picture No.1 where i think to cut it.That's what I am asking...Because it's a young plant and I think to cut a LOT of it...will it survive? :)
As we speak the lil baby grows and grows..the more we talk the more 'll have to cut... :D

I'd say cut where the 2 stems join at the 2nd internode. Then use the root gell on the area that you have cut. This will help the plant heal faster, and help generate more growth at that point hopefully.
Would be nice to see a pic of the growing area. It looks from your photo that you're plants are'nt in direct sunlight, they would stretch less if you could move them directly into the light. Maybe you could pull them further to one side of the area out of the shadow or raise the plants a little?
Are you growing in the UK?
I've got a 3 outside here at the minute, should be going checking on them tommorrow, will post a pic so you can see.
How old are your plants?
Hope this was of some help mate.

I think streching is due to the big fat clouds that we have here for 3 weeks...When it's sunny gets direct light for 7-9 hours.

Bro I'm in a country that you do not even know I guess...well in the EU as well. :)

I thought to cut after the main 3rd set of leaves...is this ok?

Forgot to say..I don't have root hormone, and i don't know where to get it in my country especially my area where agroshops are missing...what can I do to "seal"the cutted place, but first of all is this right(repeating myself:after third set of leaves cut)?My plant is 32 days old...

when you clone, cut it 45 degrees like stated, also slice the bottom of the stem straight up.. just a few cm tho and right in the middle.. but i suggest some more light and let it grow at least 2 months before you start cloning her.

yes, cutting the top will give you 2 main colas, but it will not be able to repair fully if there is not enough light

I am not about the clone bro...I'm foreced to do it because the height is too much for this place(security issues)! So I am forced to cut it...so can I do it or not?WILL IT SURVIVE THIS OPERATION? :D

Making myself more clear it will sound like : Cuttin the top 1/3 of a 32 days old plant ..is it dangerous for the plant or not? :D What could happen to the llil devil? :)
It's your call...(if you have time take a look at the previous post of others and mine to know what's this all 'bout) 10x
