It is likely because of straight clear glass and a good reflective surface vs. a light bending tube.

I have never ran a cooltube before and wonder if they run hotter that the other style. I have a raptor hood now i love but its hard to clean the glass without hinges.

I will be useing a 6in 440cmf inline fan asexaust

I would get the 6" hood if going with the 6" cfm fan.

Going with 8 in exaust on the hoods and a 6" fan, still cant decied between the to styles of hood. Starting to lean towards the flat glass reflector

I use a vivosun and ipower air cooled hoods, both 600w in flower tent. Air from another room. Still heats up room but it has ac so no big deal. Never used your cool tube, but it does sound better. Whatever you get, rest assured that they'll come out with something better soon after...
