Im growing OG Kush now and im not having any problems except for one got root bound in 3 gal pot so I transplanted into a 5 gal. Looked like it wasnt going to recover from the stress at first, but eventually bounced back well. They pretty much have grown without problems. As for the purple stems, mine dont so really not sure if its common or not. Im in SoCal and these are potted outdoors.Well,Good Luck
