Question for men

When you get gay married does the tougher guy make the other guy take his last name or how do you decide?
If you gay marry an illegal immigrant do they become a citizen?
Well the most common method is to employ the hyphen. They both still keep their last names but insert their partner's last name with a hyphen. The second question is a hypothetical due to DOMA.

I saw it comin .... tis why I backed out ... silly silly person with a hot chick as his avatar smoking a bong that always makes me think he is a chick when really he is a dude named dLoc07!
Oh shit, honestly this is the first time finding out he's a guy. I always thought it was a hot girl. I would like to continue thinking it's a hot girl.

I was married once, long time ago. She did take my last name. I think it would have bothered me if she hadn't, but like I said it was a long time ago. I wouldn't care today. And she took her name back after the divorce (actually she's remarried now, and has his name lol)

I don't know why, but I do think that hyphenated names are silly. I mean, why stop there? What if you have parents who each have hyphenated names? Could get messy, or somebody's name gets dropped in the next generation anyway. The hyphenated names just bug me lol

Mrs. taking the name is extremely crucial, shows officially that shes my property (in a nice way) and my family hierachy also being passed to the kids is also vital!! :D

I swear to you I know a kid named Jean-Luc Picard T****
Didn't want to drop his last name, but that's his first and middle name.
Kid is weird too. HomeSchooled his whole life.

I was reading a yahoo article about women giving up their last names when they get married. But then I had a thought. How do men feel about their wives taking their last name? Is it important to you? How would you react if she kept her maiden name or made a hyphenated last name?

Alot of women on the article said that they felt like they shouldnt have to, that they were losing themselves if they did, but what do you think?

food for thought
theres only one thing i care about a girl giving up and ill tell you right now, its not her last name...LOL

Guys, clearly an image off of the internet. Especially as it's professional quality and full-body. Dloc never referred to himself as female and did no one check his profile? Really, an avatar, the slightest hope that the user is female and you're slobbering XP

That image is on my other site's gallery, 420_Girlz

Well, apparently everyone thought I was a guy despite repeatedly correcting everyone because I 'use big words' -_-;

Not taking my last name would be a deal breaker and I wouldn't get married to her. I would consider it an insult. It was a no-brainer for my wife. The question never even came up and she actually couldn't wait to change her name.

LOL this is ridiculous tell your husband to limit your computer use... damn equal rights, now go back and get baking. This type of thinking is what messed up a good thing back in the day.

Or the Golden Rule. Remember that? Now there was a rule.
hmmm... I like the one about beating your wife better I think. ;)

edit: I'm spreading mad women hating this morning...not intentional. I only occasionally beat my wife, and she has been good the past several days, so no worries.

my wife didnt want to take my last name, she wanted to keep hers (espinoza).....shes half mexican...and im 100% american....well as 100% as you can get i guess, lol.......but i told her......(keep in mind, i JUST graduated basic training and had 3 days to report to my unit in hawaii) that i wasn't gonna marry her if she didn't take my last name. so she had 3 days to decide if she was gonna take my last name or not,..needless to say we planed a wedding in a day and a half... ..5 happy years later here we are will a beautiful baby girl who will be 3 in jan...WITH my last name...........im not big on many traditions, but taking the mans last name is one i am big on.....
