Question on Auto-flowering

I know some seeds are sold as auto-flowering after a certain amount of time. I just bought some clones, and the only info I have on them says stuff like 60-70 days til finish.

If I'm growing outdoors, wouldn't the flowering just start when the days get shorter? I'd like some good months of vegging before they start budding. Another question, why would you want something that autoflowered? Isn't it preferable to control that thru the light cycle?

I use autos as I grow indoors theres easier because you can just leave them on 20/0 until there done they usually done in 8-10 weeks and can yield about an OZ or more in that time so if your impaitient and want to smoke your weed faster their awesome. I do think their more for indoor use. imo

Still checking with the vendor on this, but I hope they are not auto. I want massive outdoor ones which is why I started them the other day

Yeah, I would definitely take autoflowers indoors to make sure that you're able to control all of the lighting.

outdoors, it's just too tricky. As you've already started to find out. I mean, growing outdoors is awesome and great results and harvests, but it's not goign to max out unless you're able to control all of the variables.

I've heard you can grow outdoors with timed nutrients, like Heavy Harvest. But I'm generally indoors with Advanced nutrient's expert growing bundle. Not sure how much that helps. It sucks you're not sure about the train.....
