question on flushing

how long does it take to flush ive been flushing for 9 days now and im not sure how much longer i need to go some one told me to cut a fan leaf and taste the water in the steam and if it tastes bitter its not done yet is this true
 
If you're talking about the final flush before harvest, you only need to do that once.
 
ya i did do it once its been running stright water for 9 days its hydro dwc style and its ready for harvast i just want to make sure i flushed all the nutes out

You flushed the nutes out of your system for sure but you did plan on the amount of time now needed for your plants to use up their stored nutrients, right …… like if you were shooting for a certain trichome color and it was like right now or if you factored in that amount of time?
