Question on Seeds?

Ok does it truly matter where and how you obtained seeds, to depend on the type of bud you will produce? because where I live, everyone trys to sell me some 'supa fire' though it looks the same as the last bud I bought, and so I decided one time of me purchasing some bud, that I would just go for some reggie, so I could take all the seeds from the batch and eventually try to grow them, and see how well it goes, and depending on how well it grows.. see what type of bud I could produce (the plant I mean). so my question is.. Do i truly need a specific strain seed to produce a specific bud? like, Will i only grow some just as shitty bud as I had from those seeds? or could I care for it enough to get decent bud?

Yes you can grow some fire from bag seed, But if you want a strain specific to your liking then yes you need to buy those seeds.

i think that a good grower can get better results than the bud that the seed came from, but genetics will only go so far... some seeds, no matter how much love one can give them, will only give reggie results if you know what i mean..
and another problem with growing a random bag seed is that you never know what to expect in terms of growth patterns and yield, flowering times, etc.. you may get a seed from a full on sativa strain that could take you about 14 weeks or so to flower, and the yield may not be the greatest and the plant could turn out to be ten feet tall when its done growing.. or you could get a plant that finishes in 6 weeks, is two feet tall, and yields four pounds.... you never know what to expect is my point..

yeah man I see what you too are saying, but thats what I thought though. because of all the reggie i have every gotten alway looked so shitty man, like it just looked laced with ant killer, and thinking now to myself with all the pretty buds ive seen. just makes me wonder. did this bud, come off the plant looking this condensed, & feeling hard as a fuck? or was it just left in a closet to dry and get all old ugly? but anyways. im sure the plant i have now came from a reggie batch, and Im gona do my best to help it grow nicely. and care for it as much as I possible can, but with the genetics i know what your saying. but what your saying about the sizes... are you saying its better to have a short chode like plant- because they produce the most buds? and taller plants tend to produce less? or does it really all depend on how on otherr circumstances
