Question regarding pH balance

I recently flushed my plants & added garden lime to the soil. I had measured the soil pH with a ph probe and saw it was too high, 7.5. So I did the flush & added lime with water ph'd to 6.4.

When I measured the runoff it was way lower than the water I put in, 5.5

WTF?? Any ideas?

add a tiny bit of garden lime and that should get you a normal ph

I did add lime to all of them. The soil probe still reads high. I was really curious about the h20 IN-h2o OUT pH difference

Same prob!!!! I add water of 6.8 comes out 6.3!!! Every effin time!!!

How do your plants look?
