Question: Vitamins and transplants

My seedlings often get pretty out of sorts when I transplant, and I've read in a number of places to use vitamin B1 to prevent this.
However, I can't seem to find a source of it, short of the multi vitamin I take.
Can I dissolve and use these???
What am I missing (besides experience)?

a lot of multivitamins are hard for us to digest and actualy do not get absorbed well into our bodies. giving the same thing to a plant i think would be pointless unless given enough time for the enzymes and bacteria in the soil to break it down, not to mention you may end up giving too much of one or more things to the plant and end up with severe lockout.
any home depot, lowes, hydro store will have a b1 solution for transplant and shock. there is always SUPERthrive, ive recomended it a few times on here since ive had a very good turn out with it. if you use SUPERthrive please remember not to excede recomendations on the bottle, better to use less than more of this stuff it is really concentrated.
