Question: Why is my bag seed all hermies!?

Well, im around 3 weeks flowering and all my plants were either male or are female w/ pollen sacs. Wtf happened. Oh well, I will just keep 2, the worste that will happen is seeds will be in the bud, correct?


There are nice bud sites, but around some of them are pollen sacs... wtf?
 
feminized seeds come from hermies, but from the sounds of it if all your plants went hermi then you had a light leak during your dark, or just bad luck..
 
look into dutch masters reverse. ive heard good things about it on the forums. it is supposed to stop pollen production or something, less seed for you i think.
 
well the reason for them being hermi is there is a great chance they came from hermi's. think about it, no one out there is like hmmm ill grow a crop of middies full of seeds for all the kiddies that like it :) at some point during your bag's commercial production the plant received some stress making it go hermie and therefore your seeds are of a little inferior quality. not to say that you cant still have an awesome crop, but your seeds are tainted with the high probability of turning hermi and producing seeds.

the best and healthiest seeds always come from selectively pollinated plants. if you dont have the option of buying stable breeds or quality F1's, look for seeds in bags of high quality.

hermi's are the way they make feminized seeds and as long as you mature your plant correctly the seeds should be of good quality and maturity.

yea but wont they all be hermi's..
I thought seeds from a hermi plant were no good because they passed the trait on..
 
it can pass the trait on but as long as you keep your dark time completley dark they shouldn't show and all be female, do some research before you start commenting on things you don't know about and trying to give the wrong advice.

exactly, and if youve got a seed thats genetically predispositioned to turn hermi and have some male flowers then it doesnt matter if you do everything perfectly.
 
dude, the hermie will make a lot of seeds. I tried to get as many of the pollen sacks off my hermies as I could, and still my plants are full of seeds, no good. if I knew what I was in for, I would have started over..... but I'll at least get some decent hash out of it.
