Howdy folks John neighborly here, need some freindly advice.
Its my first grow 5 female plants 20 days into flowering. Lots of small buds the
about the size of a finger tip. Heres some questions.
1. How long before i start cutting buds off?
2. Do i just snip the buds at the stems and leave the branches?
3. Can i cut off the bud on top without killing the plant?
4. Can i cut off the top 1/3rd of the plant and leave the bottom to grow bigger buds?
5. Should i bother trying to regenerate them is it worth it?
Sorry bout all the questions i am newbie trying to maximize harvest don't know if i can get away with another grow in the future. Any advice appreciated these are indoor with 2 hps lights. 70 watts a piece in a sheet metal enclosure decent reflective qualitys. 1 runt i wanted to leave it till all the rest are gone and drop the lights for the runt. You don't harvest like that buddy. Most normal thing is to let the whole plant ripen and then harvest all. After flowering the plant will take a long time to regenerate and start growing again if that's what you want to do.
You want to take a clone of the plant before putting it under flowering lights. Then you just take clones of the clone that becomes the mother plant to all your future flowering plants.

Hope this makes you understand better. GanjaLuvr is right - you need to read some - those questions just tell that you know waaay to little for us to explain all questions to you.

My main question is this. I want the whole plant to ripen even the lower buds. I don't
see how the lower buds will ripen without cutting from the tops to allow more light down there. If i cut the tops when there ready will the plant die or will the lower buds still grow and ripen? Also i am not really interested to clone them.

Ah - ok sorry for misunderstanding that. Yesss - you can indeed top off the whole upper part of the plant to let the rest become ripe - no problem at all!

Should i stay on a 12/12 schedule or go back to 16/8. Will the lower buds ripen on 16/8? I think i might want to regenerate since i know they are girls. Don't know enough to clone and don't have enough space for it. Also should i uproot them and change soil? Will they bush out more after regeneration?
