question

has anyone ever mixed there light spectrum's while growing?Say if you're flowering and you've got 10 lights running 8 are red 2 are blue, would this benefit the plant in any way or cause stress?

Yes, mixing lights often provides a better overall spectrum than one alone. It was a bigger deal years ago before the more advanced, enhanced spectrum bulbs were as good as they are today. When mixing different bulbs, it's always a good idea to install a light mover so the plants receive equal amounts of each light. You need to be careful with bulb choice, though. If one kind of bulb is considerably better than the other, then you'd likely see better results with two of that particular type.

Should have no problems.

But the thought of moving plants around or rotating bulbs is a headache I prefer to avoid with the new "blue added" HPS bulbs out nowadays. I ran them from 1 week rooted clones, right thru to the final stages of flowering.
Worked fantastically.

But to each his own. You should have no real issues. Good luck.

I veg under alternating 3000 and 6500 t5's, and an HPS and MH in flower. I've been quite happy with it
