In theory, anything is possible. To test the lethal dose of any substance, ranging from crack cocaine to water, scientists use a test called the LD-50. This involves giving animals a substance until 50 percent of them die. ( I know, tragic, but this is the way facts are determined.)
The New Health Guide reports that in the LD-50 test for marijuana, it was shown that rats and mice could take as much as 1,000 milligrams (mg) per kilogram of marijuana before they started to die. For larger animals (dogs and monkeys) it was found that even giving as much as 3,000mg per kilogram of marijuana was still not enough to kill them. Translated into human proportions, this means that a 140-pound person could eat 4 pounds of marijuana in one sitting and would still not reach the fatal dose.

This is also something I'm looking into. My buddy told me that after having larger rats, she won't touch mice. I'm beginning to think my buddy never had the patients to really figure out what she likes though. I treat my animals like my plants, no amount of time or money is too much to make sure they are as healthy and happy as possible.I know nothing about snakes but I was just wondering if the rat incident where the feeder rats attack her or what not, could mice be a better solution? :/ good luck anyway hope all works out for you and your new pet!

No problem man, I was trying to find something on the studies of the side effects in rats but kept finding a bunch of controversial studies. This one chick huges even claims that after giving her lab rats THC they were more than likely gonna wanna go try heroin! I couldn't stop laughing after I read that bull.

Hahaha! She was just a bad mother and her rats were hanging with the wrong crowd. In my own personal life, cannabis has only been a gateway to good things.
