Questions about my mom

If I have a plant that happens to be female, and I grow it how long before I can clone it and once its grown to a good size can I move it under FL lighting or should I leave it under my MH lighting? I dont want it to grow to fast so I think the FL would keep growth slow, maybe Im wrong but thats why Im asking

why would you want slow growth?

so he doesn't have a 25 ft mother plant, i'm guessing. i'm not sure on the lighting but why don't you just take a clone from the mother when the mother gets to tall and flower the mother and use the clone as the new mother until it gets to big then repeat?

You dont want to degenerate a clone. you lose a little with every generation of clones. You dont want the clone of a clone of a clone of a clone. You lose genetice after a while. Atlease I have. If I clone off a mother them reclone off the clone the reclone is not as good. I would keep the mom under the Fl lights. I keep mine under them. I may not be right but this is my personall experience with clones and moms. I will flower a mom when Im done with her though.
