Questions about when to harvest....

Im having some issues determining when to harvest my girl... I am about 10 weeks into flower and the buds are looking amazing, but the smoke is not very potent... "I have sampled"... All of the trichs are milky but none of them are amber... Should I let it go on for another couple weeks or what.... I have heard that the trichs do not always turn amber, so I confused.... In y'alls experience did your trichs eventrually turn amber??? How long did y'alls flower normally take???

She's done so take her down. Allmost all strains are done at this time and show no real diffrent from 9 to 12 weeks. Some hardly to amber like the white widow, hench it's name. I go by time.......................... 60 days and,,,,,,,,,, done.... Ive not seen much diffrent in waiting till 10 to 12 but wiating for my meds. I run only 7 to 8 wk strains and only bread the like. I can safely say at 10 weeks no matter what the strain she is done so hack her down. Throw your mic in the trash and look for red hairs and swollen claveys. You'll see,,, ya wont need that silly mic to look at triches hehehehehehhehehhe........... You'll know when thier done hhheehehehe... Trust me

I appreciate the advice...Should the fan leaves begin to die off before harvest???

fan leaves will die off and turn yellow at the end as you flush. also you say that you sampled it and it was not potent, did you dry and cure your sample properly? if you quick dried it and smoked before curing it will be a little harsh and somwhat less potent. dont judge your smoke yet from a sample. be patent and dry and cure properly and youll be rewarded with some great smoke.

the fan leaves are just now starting to die off, some of them are still healthy looking... I am going to give it another week before I harvest, just to make sure they are ripe...

I usually wait til the trichs are 40% amber and the only time they don't turn amber is if youre growing a indica and if the fan leaves should die of as its flowering that means that the plant is done with them and they are no longer needed also if It was a indica it would be done flowering by now!

i am now starting to see amber trichs!!! but not many at all, id guess and say about 1% may be amber... i am nervous because the pistols are withering up pretty bad...id say 75% of the pistols are amber but the trichs are just now starting to turn.... should i keep on waiting or what???

Fan leaves should not turn yellow or die. Does it seem normal for leaves to die? I flower sometimes 10-11 weeks as well with my ECSD cross and they are healthy and green.

when do you consider the plant in "flower"???? is it at the very first sign of pistols??? because I have heard of a 2 week period that is considered "pre-flower"... is the pre-flower period added into your week count or is it separate?
