Questions for Growers (preferably those with legal grows): To bare arms or not?

THAT IS THE QUESTION!

DO YOU HAVE A FIREARM FOR PROTECTION FROM HOME INVASIONS/ROBBERS?


I know this isn't the most grower friendly topic as many shun this idea (at least many people who i talk to in real life, on other forums, and on this one)

I personally DO own a firearm as i'd rather be safe than sorry in the event of a home invasion. It's legally registered to me and doesn't leave the property. Its a last ditch resort to violence and theft. I'd never shoot someone who wasn't armed or inside my home. I'd always give them a chance to surrender. My goal isnt to kill...my goal is to do everything I can BEFORE taking it that far.



Please note: this isn't a thread to be billy bad ass and stick your chest out. I'd just like to have an intelligent conversation between gun owners and those who don't own them.

my question is how?

(assuming you're legal in your state under MMJ laws and the gun is registered and stored probably by you the owner)??

I think every American should exercise their right to have a firearm. Keep one in your home for defense purposes.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being a responsible gun owner.

That being said, I think the best way to 'defend' your grow is to not tell anyone it exists.

I am unable to own any BUT my Son has his gun safe stored here, so ?
I am in a wheelchair and just use an extendable metal baton, like the ones some police use.
I agree on the no chest puffing thing thow. hahaha

I carry one on me, in my car and several in my house. I live in AZ and I can conceal all I want. Should be that way in every State.

lucky! where i am you need a permit for a concealed weapon otherwise its illegal. open carry is permitted but who wants to open carry? you're showing your hand to potential robbers just by having it out in the open. ya know?

So mine just stays in my place of residence as its the only real option i got without breaking the law and thats the last thing i wanna do with a grow going on.

I also am in AZ. and like the fact that you can carry concieled. I am trying to get my stuff straight so that I can also.
I mean there are guns stashed all over the house, being in the chair and non registered, I don't want to roll out to the store and forget there's one strapped under my seat.
I'm trying something new, being and staying legal, a..t least till this junk gets straightened out... gotta love the second ammendment

And to the manwiththeplan, I would carry open, being in a wheelchair I've got my chest/shoulder harness all ready. just waiting on the court...hahahaha...
I believe that if a crook/robber/idiot see's I have a gun right there , He will think twice about it.
Or at least think he can still do something. hahahaha..
BUT! I believe that all other avenues should be followed first, any and all avenues. Including giving them the money.
Unless I or my family are in immenent danger of death, The finger stayes on the gaurd and not the trigger!

I praise you gun owners (the responsible ones) and im envious of you AZ residents! too damn strict here where i live...it costs $500/yr to carry concealed (that $500 is the yearly cost of the permit)...outrageous...

so i'll just keep my gun inside for now.

Someone has to teach these rippers not to fuk around with the wrong people. until we as a community (mj growers) stand up to these types of people they will keep fuking with us until we give up or move and its not happening here! IDC how bad my area is...im still not giving in to thieves & lowlifes.

btw im glad this has remained kosher here on the forums and everyone has been able to speak intelligently without getting this thread shut down
