Okay, so im about to start growing just need a couple more supples and some questions answered.

Im only growing 2-3 plants and am trying to decide what lighting source to get. I was going to go with a High Pressure sodium light but then i saw someone used a CFL light on this website for there garden. CFL wouldn't happen to stand for compact flourescent light would it?

Also about how long into the growth of a plant does it take to have the buds start appearing?

you are correct about what cfl stands for. a hps would be a great light source to grow with.:peace:. i have had female plants show hairs after 2 days into flowering. buds start to form sometimes within the first week of flowering. of course different growers have different results.

Alright i just about have everything ready. Cept the lights, i have three different ones to choose from. 13 watt/ idk how many lumens, 18 watt/1100 lumens, 30 watt/2050 lumens which one should i use?

Also im germinating the seeds right now between two paper towels and the plates. How long should i keep them in there? is 40 hours correct?

Oh i forgot to mention im only growing one plant at the time but ill take that advise and go with the big one for now, until i can get more light housing things.

Im also trying to regulate this plants growth and keep it smallish not much bigger then 3 ft

And check your seeds everyday,, when the root gets about 1/4 inch plant it 1/4 to 1/2 inch down in the dirt if that is what your using........:peace:.............

Of course you do,,, but,,, what I do is wet paper towels good then put a folded wet rag on top of them so it keeps the papertowels wet longer...:peace:..

growing one a day is unadvisable; only because you could have 4 germinating seeds, and decide to grow them one at a time, and end up growing 3 males before you get to that female seed...

Right now i'm growing 11 of the suckers, assuming that i will get at least half males. Also, with respect to lights, using CFL and fluorescent tubes is decent for veg state, but definitely plan on using HPS for flowering state. I just read in a grower's book that using HPS for vegging is ok but will make your plants stretch, using metal halide for vegging and HPS for flowering is the best way.

yep a single plant doesn't give you good odds of getting a female unless you just want the grow experience. i always grow 3 or more but some don't really have the space for more than one. what ever you decide, good luck with your grow. Peace.

Alright i only have space to grow one plant in tthepot im using, but i guess ill just throw them all in and then get rid of the males. Actually if there all in the same pot and the fight for space doesn't that increase the chance of them becoming male?

ONLY HAVE 1 PER POT,otherwise wen u try seperate em all the roots will be inter twined.
read up on LST its a great way to keep em small,if you dnt want it anymore than 3ft,you gotta put it on 12/12cycle wen its 18inches,coz it will double in size during flowering
