Questions involving outdoor growing

I live on the North-Western side of Missouri, close to Kansas City, and our weather is very crazy. Right now were at 90's degrees and will drop down to 60's during the daytime with 40's at night. I can't imagine plants handling 40 degrees during the night.

So my question is when should I begin planting outside, growing indoors is an option but not a wise idea for me right now.

Also the best location i have is a clearing in these woods close to a creek, my only concern would be how much attention would they require? Maybe just visit them once a week and see how they do? Kansas city generally gets rain through the summer and it would be close to a creek, so if it was an issue I could water them in between rains but I assume they're not China dolls that will wilt and die after a day or two of little water, right?

ya, no problem with once a week visits. try and wait until the temps at night are above 50.

idk what the soil is like there but you will likely need to bring in some good soil to grow in, also get yourself some nutes.

i use good soil then add blood meal, bone meal, perlite, vermiculite, manure and peat moss. so far that mix has worked well for me. the soil and size of the hole is important for outdoor growing.

but yes you can afford to only visit once a week. i only visit my plants once a week. actually if it rains enough i won't go some weeks.

What could be an estimate on the approximate cost on soil and nutrients? And since I do not exactly own any of this land in the clearing, could it be possible to have the top of the plant covered with native soil so it does not look like it was specifically planted? I intend to spread them about so maybe it looks less obvious and not all would get destroyed if someone was to discover them.

i put plants out in may go back in august harvest in october i only see my plants 3 x threw out grow
