Questions on how to deal with temps

Well I built a new grow room recently and now it's time to finish it and buy some better equipment . I'm having problems with me temps getting to 88-90F. My room is 11x 9x7 1/2. Currently I have a 6" 440 cfm blower exhausting the hot air into another room and a 12,000 btu a/c unit and 2 16" fans I know my exhaust is way undersized for me room.i have 3 1000w hps and 2 600w currently in the room. Now I have two options should I upgrade the exhaust fan to a 12" 1230 cfm fan or I found a great deal on another a/c unit that's 10,000 btu. My bulbs a hung vertically bare bulb. Any suggestions, advice, or question are welcome!

With the size of your room; combined with your wattage, I would go with another a/c unit. I have a movie room with about the same size as your grow room. I keep it cool with an a/c unit the same size as yours and it keeps the room around 79F. Your lights would give off much more heat than my tv so I suggest the a/c unit. Good luck...

So you dont have air cooled reflectors? I would start there if you dont.

No I don't want to use reflectors. This is a vertical bare bulb setup. If I warn cooltube there would be ducting running all around the room and the trees I'm growing take up enough room lol. I usually have to crawl around on the floor to water the later in flowering. I'm sort of thinking that I should upgrade the exhaust and the ac unit

I would start with your exhaust, im of the mindset that you should remove as much hot air first and add ac last. Fresh air is better for plants and that 6" isnt exchanging enough. Add a 12" exhaust, drop the 6" down for a intake fan, direct your ac flow down as much as you can and see where you stand. You may still need another ac but atleast you would be cooling fresh air.

I'm a fan of cool tubes/vented hoods. But if you don't want them you could run 4" or 6" ducting to the top of your lights and use inline fans to help pull hot air out. That would give you minimal ducting and help with heat build up.

Thanks for all the replays guys! I think I'm gunna get the 12" fan it's 1250 cfm. But instead of adding the 6" to the intake I was thinking of using both a 12" and a 6"? Would that just be over kill? Winter is almost here where I live and I plan on using the heat from the lights to heat my house. And I'm gunna hook it up to my house ducts to it will just blow through all the vents

Very novel idea, but I wouldn't want my whole house to smell like a grow room personally.

I think it would be overkill. I dont have the luxury of cool winters where I am but if I did I would find a way to duct in some cold filtered air from outside in a room that big. A passive intake on 1 side and a 6" inline with a speed controler on the other side pulling air from outside when the lights are on would be just as good as another ac. Just my thoughts on the matter

Are u running the lights during the night or day?

I run them at night 7 pm to 7 am
