What's up folks,

This is my first post on this site, but reading other people's has pretty much taught me everything i know about growing (ie not much!), so thanks to anyone who's ever posted! :-P

This is my first grow so i decided i'd start small with 2 plants, which naturally both turned out to be males (hermie's?). I've included pics, i hope the balls are visible. I've just got a couple of questions about Hermie's for you more experienced growers, and i think one of mine is a Hermie (ie Tallguy)... so.

1) If a plant turns Hermie through a light leak, will it be predisposed to be hermie if i re-veg it and start the cycle again?

2) Will a hermie pollinate itself and flower, ie produce seeds? And will these seeds be hermie also?

3) Are male plants self polinating? I know females can produce pollen sacs near the end of the flowering stage in an effort to reproduce, can males do something similar?

Any info would be much appreciated. These are THC BOMB btw, grown under various CFLs. Not that that means anything without the prospect of bud!!

Both plants look like males. I don't see any pistols on or near any of those pollen sacs, so there is no indication that either of them is a hermie. sorry, maybe next set you grow will be the girls.

lol, yeah fair point, but they started out females, which is what i meant. or maybe they were always dormant hermaphradites... Either way i have males on my hands i guess!

ok heres my 2 cents. those are definetly both male plants are you sure they were female to begin with? plants hermie more often after the female plants already have buds and about 2 weeks before harvest. when a hermie pollinates itself the seeds are almost 99% femenized and there is an equal chance of a female hermie'ing. when they do this, the reason is because the conditions kidna told them that they need self pollinate to survive. this is prolly wat ur refering to when you say that female's pollinate themselves. male's cannot do this though. just remember... flowering first, then theres a chance that the bananas might appear.

hope that helped!

The chances of getting two hermies out of two plants is quite low.

Those are males, and always have been. Zero signs of any female traits.

Yeah that's fair enough. thought I saw signs of pistils on the taller plant, ie photos 3 and 4, which is what got me thinking about hermies. But I bow down to superior experience!

Thanks for your input folks
