Hydrofarm - Hydrofarm SBH400 Sunburst 400W MH (no bulb) this is perty much the light i got i got the pots the seeds is there a certain kind of soil i should b using and do i need a intake and outtake fan for a closet or could i just do with a regular fan

i prefer potting soil without nutes added usually wind up with flushing problems to many nutes how big a closet are we talking about?

about 5 foot tall 3 by 3 wide and i alrdy bought it iv had it for a while that will be enought light right its 400 watt

yeah thats perfect size for your 400 watter. that's what i use and my flower room is 3.5' wide 2' deep and 7' high and works great, my last harvest(first with 400watter, was using a 250watter before) I averaged 2 o's per plant with three weeks veg.

i have my 400w hps in a 2 1/2 foot deep x 2'foot wide x 5 foot tall space in the bathroom .you should be fine . if you can afford it i would go with a cool tube just to keep down on noise form the fans. my self i have a fan blowing in from the basement via a hole in the floor and one out the top into the attic. i also have a fan setting on the shelf blowing on the plant and one blowing on the light and one in the door way of the grow space blowing out .. after i bought all the fans and everything i kick my self in the ass wishing i would have bought a cool tube that way i could get away with a lot less fans .
