Questions?: Someone Help Me!

I read somewhere that using my plants (ave plant) only yields 12-14 grams ova a 12-16 week period!, but I also read somewhere 1 plant could yield 3 ounces????

What's the truth? I'm in the process of growing White Widow?

Do different color lights produce a different yield?

Does blue lighting encourage foliage growth?

What's better, blue or orange light? or both?

okay, relax.what did the seed site say about your seeds or did you get them from a friend? different seeds, different lenght of time, weights, yeilds. do a little reserch first, see what the breeders say about your WW. good luck.

blue spectrum promotes foliage growth.. used typically in veg... can be used during flowering for additional light if you choose

red/orange spectrum promotes fruiting... used during flowering.. can be used throughout entire cycle if you want if your using hps.. warm floros arent great for foliage growth tho...

diff strains = diff yields = diff flowering time... some strains can get up to a pound a plant and flower quick.. some take forever and you only get a couple ounces a plant... sativas take longer to flower than indicas... but an indica high is different from a sativa high... sativas grow higher than indicas, but indicas are bushier... theres a lot to think about when pickin a strain.. type of high you want... grow room restrictions.. ect...

so your sorta right in that there are wide ranges of yeilds between plants and strains...

and light spectrum does affect plants... different ones at different times... so one isnt better than the other... but if i had to choose one id choose the red/orange only cause it means its almost harvest time... :)

I would say that the average white widow plant yields 1 oz if grown so so, 2 ounces for a decent grow and 3 for a good grow. My white widow that i am flowering now should produce between 4 to 6 ounces. Its all on how long you veg an dhow much light, nutes, air flow, oh so many factors, but dont get discouraged, it is called weed for a reason, it will grow under sub par conditions it just wont be a monster.

no you cant use a blue light bulb for the blue spectrum.. it doesnt work light that... you need the right kind of light, right PAR, right spectrum... get some CFLs if you want to be cheap...

longer veg = bigger plant = bigger yield... except the bigger the plant the more light you need... so if you are only gonna use a few cfls a smaller plant would be better... but if you had a 400w MH or HPS you could have a much bigger plant... grow your plant according to the light your using...

i would say do a litt research bfore trying to grow. that way if yo get caught at least yu knew wht yo were doing. it sucks to get busted for something that really wouldnt have amounted to anything. the cops dont care if yorplant has bud or not yurstill gowingto jail
