quetions about nutrients

how much will i need for a grow. quart gallon or gallons?

ive tried to find this but have had no luck.

i experimented with cloning 11 days ago. made a bubble cloner and took my first clone. it was a complete success within days i had root nubs and on day eleven the roots were 2 to 3 in long. however i couldnt find any info saying that plants survive and grow in water without nutes so i planted it in dirt. i have 9 clones that i took today and plan on having my system going in 2 weeks so i need more info on nutes. just a link to a nice written guideline would be great.

comon guys noone can tell me if a quart of each micro grow and bloom will be enough for one grow? or how long someone has left a clone in plain water?

idk if thats going to be enough nutrients for the grow because your kinda skimming bottom with that amount. i have also left a clone in plain basic tap water that had the correct ph for two or three days but i dont think your going to sustain its growing needs for more than a week. thats the best i can do for you. hope all goes well...:bigjoint: +REP

for a rooted clone you can buy 1 liter of like technaflora b.c grow and b.c boost for example for around 30 dollars it really depends on how big your reservoir is you know. You could put the clones in the hydrosystem just water for a day but i wouldnt even do that if i didnt have to what system are you going to use to grow the clones in

bubbleponics, probably wont veg the first 6 and im gonna do a perpetual grow.
in the 10 gallon totes, so a 6 gallons of water in the reservoir. i tried to do the math with the recipe to success last night. i think it was 2 tbl spoons per gallon? think for 12 weeks thats only 24 tbl spoons if you change the res every week. which would make me think a quart would be big enough but i might have to go with a gallon. was just trying to look ahead in my project. thanks man +rep

I also use a 10 gallon res for bubbleponics for 3 plants. If you have a 10 gallon res you need a 1/4 strength mixture to start with then increase to 1/2, 3/4, full strength per week or if your low every second week. So the recipe says 3tsp b.c boost so you would do 10gallonx3tsp=30tsp were doing 1/4 strength so divide by 4 it would be 7 1/2 tsp of b.c boost and 1 1/2tspx10gall=3.75 tsp so your recipe for success would be b.c boost 7 1/2tsp and b.c grow 3.75tsp. You will know if your plants are drinkin more water than they are nutrients if your ppm/ec raises this means that you need to add more water to dilute the strength of the nutrients and vise versa if you want to maintain the res without switching water out every week this way you can do it about every 2 if done correctly. One liter is equal to 202.8841 teaspoons hope this helps man

Why don't you just calculate it yourself, it's quite straight forward.

ml nutrients per liter water times the size of your res times the number of res dumps you plan to do.

Sorry if I come across as arrogant, didn't mean to, but it's pretty straight forward as you can see.

i thought about that for 2 hours last night did the math and all i just wanted to make sure i bought enough. seems like a waste to buy the quart and then have to go back and get a gallon in 4 weeks. since its ten bucks more.
