Setting up a new grow room and the guy has 2 fans with ducts 6 and 8 inch. Which goes where and why? Spider farmer sp-4000 5x5 tent. Thanks!

so 8" for exhaust and 6" for intake? So there would be negative pressure.
It depends on your layout and growing area, ducts don't always work out where the holes are..
The larger ducting is preferred, why struggle with pounding more air in a smaller hole?
You don't want the intake smaller, it just makes it noisy and inefficient.

Use single 8" for exhaust, both lower 6" ducts for passive intake, no second fan needed.
Or do it the hard way, pound more air in with a single 6" intake w/ fan and 8" exhaust duct blower.
It's louder, plus 50 more watts of heat and energy, harder to balance airflow with 2 motors running.

How's the stock photo steaming pot going to get vented? are you H2O vaping?

A 8” inline exhaust with passive intakes will be lots for a 5x5 with LED.

Could have the 6” in the tent as a air mover. Just get a defuser for it so it’s not a wind tunnel. Lol

Instead of having a 4" fan blow around stale air in the tent I just pipe in 6" fresh air and blow that over the plants, I assumed most people would do this...

Youd lose negative pressure to control smell then,or your running a much larger vent fan to keep the negative pressure.Passive air coming through hoses pointing at the plants works also.
