Alright this is my first post here outside of my grow journal. Slowly sneaking my way into the community sorta speak. Up to about a couple days ago I was out of smoke for about a week, and I really do hate to go without. I got the clever Idea that my plants was close enough to harvest to snatch off all the little popcorn buds on the bottom. I needed a way to dry so I spent hours searching on best quick drying techniques and saw a lot of different one and I tried all of them. Every method I got I was left with Harsh smoke and my most favorable method (because of the lack of harshness) was the least potent because of the microwave. The steam method using the microwave was incredibly fast 3 min dry ready to smoke fast. But it just left me with a small buzz.
Now to my method and I dont recommend this for a full harvest by any means. For the best out of your bud dry it and harvest it the right way there are plenty of tutorials on here. But if you want some quick smoke because you are out and a little broke for more but got some growth going on the method I'm about to introduce works wonders. That thou is my opinion and I dont want to strike those experienced users the wrong way. I am not saying this is the best way to dry nor cure it so please do this at your own risk. This method has only been on trial by myself for about a couple days and I've been happy with the end result.
So as far for the method I use was something I came up with myself. I haven't saw any other thread so far about this method and I've spent some hours searching. Please by any means if you find someone with the same method please post the link here I'd like to see it for myself to. Just to see the similarities and how the product turned out for them any feed back and what not.
The method is the same as the light bulb method with one big difference. I take a piece of tin foil fold it up to where it's pretty strong piece of tin in a 6 in by 6 in square. Size really dont matter as long as it can support a glass jar while on a lamp shade. I have a lamp shade that's probably about 6 in above the light bulb itself. Inside the fixture I have a 100W flood light, I place my bud inside a glass jar with the lid off til the outside becomes dry to the touch kinda crispy. I then put the lid on the jar while still on the tin foil and wait til the jar becomes full of condensation on the inside I think take of the top and dry off all the moisture with a paper towel. Now the buds are nice and wet on the outside once again, so I repeat the same process before until there is very little moisture being drawn out and the buds feel like it'll burn with out having constantly being re lit and not burn to fast. It took about 4-6 hours all together but the end result has really been pleasant. Any questions or comments are welcome, if you dont agree with it cool I understand. Like I said this method doesnt compare to the proper drying and curing method but great for a quick smoke.
