Quick flowering question??

Hi I have grew a few small gardens indoors so far. The results have been good imo. I am currently growing in soil indoors under a 600w hps (flowering). I vegged under a led 350w for 1 and a 1/2 months. Everything went fine and no temp probs or any other probs tha I cud see. I was actually impressed with the veg this time round. I switched to 12/12 6 weeks ago and they stretched for about 4 weeks wit a littler bending here and there. I topped them early in veg and have a good few heads to show for it. My problem is this they seem to have started budin later than usual and some seem to be behind others in like they took an extra week to start to bud. I was always under the impression that flowering starts at 12/12 and not pre flowers. If I go by 12/12 they are due to finish in 2 nearly 3 weeks but they don't look anywhere near ready as in they are still only very baby buds. They are bb x nl. I have grew these ladies a few times and loved them. They always finished at around 9 weeks from 12/12 switch over. My question is would it be possible for them to stretch longer since they wer topped and if they stretch for a week or 2 longer than usual will that mean they will take longer to harvest or will they finish at the same time wit less bud?

Dont mean to be a dick but theyll finish when they are ready. Some strains take more or less time to finish. Also if you have sativa dominant pheno this may prolong finish. Good luck though.

Yea some strains with stretch for 2 weeks some 4 weeks. They can go from 1.5x to over 3x in that time and its all strain dependant. (Assuming u dont stretch with ur light). Theres really no way to.shorten flower time but.ive heard of stress lengthening the flower time.

Some people have said.their flower times have come down a couple days wen cloned. But that's up for.debate

Thanks for the replies. I know my light is not to far away and I know they have had a peaceful life so far. I don't want them to hurry up (well I do but I can wait lol) it's just that I grew this strain every time and this is the only time it has been different to any other time in flowering stage. They shot up in veg more so than any other stage but I put that down to them getting better takin care of than before as I have learnt from mistakes and from knowledge from reading about growing indoors. The only different thing I done this time was I put my ladies into a big box of soil so they would have a lot more space to root I have them in a 1.5 metre squared wooden box which I built myself and I covered the inside with plastic with a drainage system so I cud flush them easily and I topped them early and l.s.ted them to form a bush of bud to cover the box. It worked out great tbh. WUd they stretch more because of having more space to root??

I think the delay in bloom you are seeing has to do with the minimal 6 weeks of veg- if these were clones they would've flowered in a matter of dayz but some plants started from seeds need a full 7-8 weeks to be mature enough for sex/budding. Training hard can delay them somewhat depending upon how aggressively they were pruned. Your plants should finish in the same 9 week photoperiod either way provided they got 12 hrs of uninterrupted darkness. Stretching is a strain specific characteristic & should happen regardless of spacing; however very crowded plants could yield a bit less per plant due to a thick canopy/lack of light to the lower stuff.
