So I have a nice set up over at a friends house who lives about 45 minutes away from me.. i go over to his house every few days to do work on my plants.. The guy who owns the house is basically just a baby sitter for me...

Well, this morning he calls me and tells me that all except one of my seedlings have fallen over. I have about 18 seedlings and they are almost a week old. I keep a small fan blowing on them every once in a while and right now I have them all under 2 T5's until i transplant them soon and stick em under my 400W hps. Also, they are about 5 Inches from the light. So what could have caused this? And how do I fix it? I leave to go over to his house in about 3 hours so speedy answers would be very appreciated!

It could be that the plants have stretched and the weight of the leaves has layed them over. This can be solved by using a small stake to prop them up until they get bigger or transplant them and bury the stem deeper so that they are not so top heavy. I keep my T-5s about 2" above seedlings.

yea if your lights are to high it can stretch the plant i had this problem as well, its a pain when you cant move the lights, i would suggest adding more soil in your pot to hold it up or be very careful using a prop for a seedling, i killed one this way.
