Good deal @srichard722. I certainly wasn't trying to spend all your money haha. Just looking for most affordable way to fill your space.
ya man,, excellant choice,, thier frames are already drilled and this thing is just bolt together,,, and YES these lights will grow from start to finish in veg and flower,, i have used my 3000k cobs the whole ride, and now i have a 4000k citizen cob panel that i am doing a start to finish grow with,, you cant go wrong, with them all wire up,, just put a few bolts in the frame,, and plug it in,, your going to be so happyJust saying I'm going with the timber 200watt vero29 with the frame work I'll use em for full cycle except seedlings for the first week or two I'll use t5 than place them under the cob....im handy with tools but very little free time that's why Imma just buy the kit with frame work....ill do two plants my first run going to do a quick first run 3 week veg with some BlackBerry haze seeds I have from a buddy (not feminized) during that grow I'll order some fems....
oh yes,, there are many options for people,, i got into cobs before there were any kits,, heck there wasnt even cob holders back then,, we had to use pC heat sinks,, and drill and tap our own holes,, it was the wild west,,, but many people just dont want to have to figure it out,, or do the drilling and cutting,, i dont blame them,, some people dont have work shops,, or power tools,, an dits just eaiser to buy something thats ready to put together,, i think that is the appeal of so many of the blurple china panels is guys can just plug them in,, but these cobs BLOW away those blurple panels,, and you wont have to buy another light until your old and gray with these cob panels, i think he is making a good choice,,@Tim Fox do you think that the timber kits are a better value than say the vero 29 kit from rapid?
Having built a few lights, I feel like the frame is the most time consuming part. The vero 29 kit from rapid is $220 with options to run at 1400ma or 2100ma, and upgrading to se would make it solderless. After the upgrade, adding fan, and power supply for fan, op could grab 2 of these for about the $500 he has to spend. Personally, I'd like to see the cobs spread out a bit more. But putting 500 watts in a 3x3 for $1/watt is a damn good deal.
Ya I've been to that site after I get a handle on things i think that will be my add on option not expecting to ever need more than 4 cobs I grow for me and the wife i grow just enough so I don't run out of i harvest every 3 months and getting close to 6 oz a harvest I'm good it was not easy with 600watt cfl never would have a 6oz harvestthese guys are making single cob units,, where guys can buy one at a time,, and ad more later,,, not suggesting you get this over the timber,, just showing whats out there

lets see i have done 4 runs thru the box since Oregon went legal, first run was 2 plants made mistakes, got only 3 ounces, second run learned more I did a 2 plant scrog but under only 2 cobs at 100 watts,, those 100 watts gave me 5.5 ounces dry,, 3rd run, i moved up to 4 cobs and ran 3 plants was crowded but yeilde 8 ounces,, and this past grow i moved to 4K citi cobs running 250 watts at the wall, and 2 plant scrog yeilded 11 ounces,, i feel this is the max the box can make, and like you its plenty since my wife doesnt smoke and i use it just for me,, wanna come over,, lol
