Quick lighting question....

Hey,
Just got home from work to find that my lights were off. They should have been on for the last 11 hours. Not sure if the power went out for a bit today or if the timer (5 weeks old) is having a problem and just never turned on.
I'm just starting the second week of flowering and checking to see if anybody thinks this will cause the plant any problems. I've had a plant go hermi on me before due to screwing with the light schedule. Should I just adjust the timer and accept my new light schedule? I'd rather have my lights on during the day and off at night but I don't want to push my luck!
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!bongsmilie

I'd just keep it on the same schedule you had it on, a little longer darkness is better then longer light.

Assuming that they didn't turn on when I left for work, then they have been off for 23 hours. I want to get back to the schedule I had before so should I just leave the lights off until tomorrow morning?

it shouldn't hurt at all, to be honest. I had to move my light cycle forwards by 12 hours on my last grow and just gave them an extra 2 hours dark for 6 days with no ill effects.

you should check that timer.....
if its not rated for an inductive load its probably shot.
most off the shelf timers are rated for resistive loads, not inductive.

The timer appears to be working after testing it a few times but I'm going to take it back to be on the safe side. I'll make sure I grab one for an inductive load. Thanks for the help everybody!
