quick newb question

so its my first year growing and im a bit worried about how much taller, bigger these will get during flowereing

these pics are from about a week ago so there a bit bigger now, ive bin tying them down a lot, thing is im trying to keep them below the rail (44 inches)


so basically my ques is when they flower do they just fill out a lot? Or do they get a lot taller to?

they will doubble, even tripple size in flowering... tie em down,, ull yeild more that way too tie em vertical if u have to

Dude those things aren't weed! Those are trees! And holy shit, they're not flowering yet? OK, now that my amazement over the stem size of those things is gone, yeah, they'll probably double in height when they flower, unless they're already maxed out growth-wise (which they might be). Looks like you should've tied them down sooner, probably should top them then and maybe use some bushmaster or equivalent hormone. Also, where'd all the lower foliage go? I hope you didn't trim it off...

bushmaster eh.. so that makes them bushy instead of tall?

the lower foliage slowly died due to poor soil and the plants were lacking nutes

went to a grow storre and they suggested i buy a block up cocunut fibre and some veg fert, remove the plants from the pots, wash the soil off the roots with a garden hose (he said the plants would love this..), fill the pots with coco fibre, put plants back in pot and feed evry few days

that grow shop guy doesnt know what he's talking about, washing all the soil off it like that is going to remove/ hurt countless microscopic root hairs.

Bro, you need to put a scrog screen up at a good height and keep those things from getting out of control and you will have some good buds.

i do trust that u are right about this but he suggested using the hose because he said it would be a lot more gentle on the roots than using my hands..

yup, he was right on that part. It's going to be kind of hard to keep those out of veiw, even with plenty of tying down and topping. Not saying it cant be done of course. They are already very good sized and will get much bigger.

You can keep those tops under the wall, but your your whole hood is still going to smell like weed.

lol damn cuz thoes are bad ass. always wondered how they did that XD. i am growin for my first time but i find toppin to be very successful in stopping plant growth lol. id love 2 have sum like that, i wish i woulda known about this before :/. instead i have 8ft tall fkers :/ i must now get on a 5gal bucket to check the tops.

if topping doesn work, then lol idk what 2 tell u . get the hedge trimmer XD XD jk jk.

Contrary to popular belief,they don't triple or even doulbe in size when flowering starts.Or at least the Indica plants I'v grown for years don't.I wish they did.
They might grow 25% taller if the start flowering in say mid august.

Changed my mind about the size now that there is something for perspective... Still thick stems though.
