Quick newbie question

Ok so i have a quick question for you guys out there. my seeds have just cracked and a little bit of the root is popping out. so ive decided to plant them in small seed starting containers. Anyway my question is do i need to have my grow lights on for the seeds to grow, or should i just keep the light off and wait till the seedling has come up out of ther dirt?

i believe you should have the lights on it would help.

No lights until you see green, they accomplish nothing. Keep them properly warm and properly damp.

haha 1 for on 1 for off hmm not very helpfull haha anyone else got a suggestion?

if there is no plant theres no need for light. You can have the lights off until it sprouts. i leave mine on personally but its not needed until you see some green up until that point it is reacting off of moisture and temp. Keep it damp and warm.

I had my light on doesn't mean it was right ... they sprout green about a day or so later ... I'm using hydro ...
