Distilled water should be near zero??
Ahhh ok thanks guys sorry I know I should just be looking all this up, lot going on lately lol. If it should read near zero and the aloe doesn’t effect it much then that makes perfect sense. I’ll try and get some trial and error stuff going this weekend to get use to what it can and can’t read. Appreciate it :blsmoke:

As stated before EC/ppm pens don't read organics. They read TDS, total dissolved solids. Salt based nutrients dissolve in water and are immediately available to plants. Organic nutrients have to be processed by the microbes before they are available to the plants. They aren't immediately dissolved.

Sounds about right. Those supplements don't add much ppms. I use an organic all in one that adds 400-500 ppm to a gallon of water then I add Tribus, seaweed, mammoth p, fish shit, myco chum, coconut powder, aloe vera, and sometimes recharge or humic/kelp and it takes my ppm to 800-900. Plants love it.
