Quick question about butter (not a repeat)

I have a stick of organic cow butter, 7 g of blue dream, and a glass full of water all up in my crock right now. I have had it on the low setting for about 3 hours now. My question is should I be concerned if the low setting is hot enough to see bubbles? Everyone says just turn your crock on low and set it and forget it and whatknot...but I really would like to clarify that my low setting is not too hot if it is bubbling/lightly simmering. we are talkin like one or two bubbles every 10 sec..it also has a 'warm' setting below 'low'. should i flip it down to that??

longer temp=shorter times =some debate potency with high heat
lo and slow?-some debate potency with slow and high heat vs time?

cant really make much sense outta that post bruda thanks for the reply tho. i was mainly wondering if its straight if it is lightly simmering/bubbling for the majority of the time in the crock? or should it be cool enough to where you see no bubbles? im about 14 hours in, but Im still curious and any insight from those with experience making medicinal quality butter. no stalks and stems in dis ya crocka ! peace

i don't think the rate of simmer you're talking about will affect the potency much, if at all.

i don't use a crockpot, but if my oven on "warm" is enough to activate mine, i would think that the lower setting on your crockpot would be just as adequate (temps wise, all you really need is for your butter to melt). does your crockpot have a ceramic insert?

at such low temps, i don't bother adding water either. (you only need to add water if you're doing a stove-top method with higher/direct heat, to prevent scorching.)
