Quick question about LST +REP

I have never done the LST method, but I think I will on my next grow but I had a couple of questions:

1. When you bend the plant, do you actually "snap" the stem where you bend it? I am not talking about breaking it, but just bending it completely so where the stem just folds over.

2. I hate having small buds on the lower nodes...id rather have big colas...but does the yield increase/decrease or stay the same?

Thanks...

You don't "fold" it over, you simply timely bend over the plan, so it keeps a lower profile, and in turn allows all the lower sites on the branches, tops, to get more direct light, which in turn allows colas to form instead of popcorn nugs. Fold, or snapping the branch over, correct me anyone if im wrong is supercropping i believe..im really stoned, sorry... :)

Like tyee says, you just direct the plant, you don't fold anything over.

Trim all those lower branches off. All those popcorn buds are worthless.

Tyeee is right. Supercropping is when you bend the stem at a 90 degree angle to allow light to reach the lower branches. Over time, the place where it was bent will form a very strong node, and the bent top will correct itself and begin growing upwards again. The lower, previously vertical part of the branch will now be horizontal, and the shoots will grow straight up, forming another flowering head. LST is short for low-stress-training, and unlike supercropping, does not require any damage to the stem. Instead, you slowly tie parts of the branch down to make a wider, bushier plant. The end result is similar to supercropping, but doesn't alter the shape of the stem as much as redirect it. however, both techniques are designed to make shorter plants with more flowering heads.

Ah OK I understand now. Now do you get a better yield when you get more colas, or do you get the same amount yield?

Thanks
