take a black magic marker and put a period between the 0 and 1 on your display. now youv'e got 0.105ECOk my water out the tap in 7.0ph and 0105Ec (Us/Cm) is that converted into 1.5 EC ? Again I suck at math

1000 μS/cm = 1 EC = 1 mS/cmYea I got the wrong meter it measures in US/cm that's why I'm tryna figure how to convert it into MS/Cm I have no decimal point
A lot of cheap EC pens are not capable of calibration.Another weed grower buys a tds meter without buying the calibration/testing solution. We are still batting 1000. Everybody just assumes that $20 meter is accurate and will always be accurate.
Is that good or shud I add more water to bring it down. To 0.100ec ?take a black magic marker and put a period between the 0 and 1 on your display. now youv'e got 0.105EC
this is just your tap water right? Is that good or shud I add more water to bring it down. To 0.100ec ?
Yea ... I mixed up my nuts in a gallon bucket measuring in mL as recomendable by the makers (Using general Organic to box I know not a good choice) before nutes water was 0105 uS/cm (0.105Ec i think )with a ph of 7.0. After I mixed the nutes it is at a 0222 uS/cm (0.222 I think ) with a 5.9 PH ... is this good ? Is this good for seedlings ? Am I off shud I raise my uS/cm to 1000 Which I think makes it 1.0 eC ?this is just your tap water right?
0.2 or 0.3 is what i use for seedlings. so you should be good.Yea ... Thank you so once they start to get into veg that's when I shud be getting to the 1000s uS/cm which equals to 1.0 Ec and so forth correct? When the EC drops and the Ph rises do I just add nutes or shud I empty my entire aero and make a new batch ?0.2 or 0.3 is what i use for seedlings. so you should be good.
i've never done aero but i think your EC should be much, much lower than DWC or other forms of hydro. i would check in some aero threads to see what they run.I empty my entire aero and make a new batch
At least you will know how it reads.A lot of cheap EC pens are not capable of calibration.
if i'm not wrong 1000 ppms should be 2.0 Ec, being 1 EC = 500 ppmsThank you so once they start to get into veg that's when I shud be getting to the 1000s uS/cm which equals to 1.0 Ec and so forth correct? The internet has pretty much adopted that terminology because nobody can figure out how to use and apply calibration solution. Stoners and math do not go together.if i'm not wrong 1000 ppms should be 2.0 Ec, being 1 EC = 500 ppms
It's fact, not adopted terminology. What does calibration solution have to do with a chart? The internet has pretty much adopted that terminology because nobody can figure out how to use and apply calibration solution. Stoners and math do not go together.
try it bro, then you will see that you are actually measuring and talking .5 ppms. It's fact, not adopted terminology. What does calibration solution have to do with a chart?
Lol ok. So it's just listed as ppm but not actually ppm. Got it...That correlates different meter readings to EC. Those aren't actual ppms
